ESI Cordless Handsets

Each ESI Cordless Handset uses proven, reliable 900 MHz technology to provide mobility to the user who’s constantly on the move in the office. (Why 900 MHz? Because it passes through walls far more effectively than cordless telephony using the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands, which are intended more for residential than workplace use.) You get the same rich ESI feature set as in the 24-Key Feature Phone — but in a compact, lightweight, portable handset. The ESI-exclusive Quick Switch feature makes going from your desktop ESI phone to your Cordless Handset, or back again, as easy as pressing a key.

ESI Cordless Handsets come in two sizes (small and large), and there are three different versions for each size

Digital

• Systems: ESI-600; IVX X-Class; IVX E-Class; IVX S-Class.

• VOICE MAIL key: Yes; dedicated.
• HELP key: No.
• Display: Two-line, 32-character, plus a third line with informational icons.

Local IP

• Provides local IP telephony (i.e., LAN-only). The base station gives you the choice of Power over Ethernet or regular AC power, to maximize your connection convenience. Uses G.711 voice compression.

• HELP key: No.
• Display: Two-line, 32-character, plus a third line with informational icons.

Remote IP

• Works from a broadband-equipped remote location (such as your home or a small satellite office) just as if it were on the regular phone system at your main office. Uses G.729 voice compression. The base station gives you the choice of Power over Ethernet or regular AC power, to maximize your connection convenience.
